A Bit of Background
Here at Operation Sling Load, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2019, we have determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in such as rappelling, kayaking, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs and to give our veterans a chance to de-stress, a sense of camaraderie, and a sense of well-being.

J.D. McCurdy
President/Founder
J.D. started Operation Sling Load with the vision and drive to improve upon our Veterans' Organization, and focuses on developing the organization with experience and integrity to bring opportunity to veterans who struggle to de-stress in their civilian lives. As a former Army combat veteran and current Firefighter/EMT, he understands the needs of our heroes.
Robert Lynch
EMS Coordinator/Board Member
A former Marine that served in combat and current Firefighter/EMT, Robert dedicates his time to his family, friends, and fellow veterans. His dedication and expertise is vital to our organization.
Kurtiss Lamb
Operations Coordinator/Board Member
Kurtiss is a former Army veteran with multiple deployments. He’s an advocate for helping his fellow veterans and community. His experience, selflessness, and dedication to the many organizations he helps, makes him a very valuable member to our organization.
Alex Yasin
Vice President
Alex joined Operation Sling Load with the drive and experience needed to help our organization be successful. As a former Army veteran with multiple deployments, he understands the value of what our organization is about. Alex is currently working towards his MBA.
Aimee Yasin
Director of Mental Health/Board Member
Aimee joined our team to head up our mental health services as it becomes available. Aimee is a Licensed Professional Counselor and MHSP in the state of Tennessee with 5 years of experience.
